North Drywood Falls is a waterfall located within the Castle Wildland park in Alberta, Canada. The path to the falls is very easy to traverse and only takes around 2 hours to get there and back.
The Trail
This path is pretty flat the whole way through making a nice easy hike where you can enjoy the views around you. The path starts on the boundary between the flat prairies and the big mountains, giving the trail an increasing quality as you continue on.
At one point the path crosses over a stream that comes from the waterfall, which can serve as a reminder of what lies ahead.
Arrival
As you arrive upon the waterfall, the gravel path narrows to a thin dirt path and the sound of the waterfall becomes audible. At the very end of the trail a rocky place lets you look down upon the waterfall. There is a nice little bench which is perfect for sitting down and eating a snack while taking in the scenery.
A small detour from the original path takes you to a small stream. Crossing the stream brings you to the other side where you can walk into a rocky cove where water drips down from above.
