About the Game
Valheim is a sandbox survival game with a heavy theme of Norse mythology. You start off with primitive wooden tools and buildings, then upgrade your gear to fight bosses.
This playthrough isn’t my first, but I haven’t gotten any further than building boats and sailing across the ocean, so most of the game is still new to me.
Part I: The Dawn of Civilization
On the first day, Kranoffson, Jawg and Sven Svenson IV set out to explore the world and find a place to call home. Jawg and I followed the coast to find a spot to build our camp, while Sven Svenson IV went on a grand expedition to map out the nearby land. We crossed a river and settled in a clearing on the coast, founding Kjøttby of the Imperial Empire! As Svenson continued to explore the world, I built a small cabin and a wall to keep unwanted individuals out. Jawg also constructed a home, and a workshop was created to upgrade our tools and weapons.

Upon his return to civilization, Sven Svenson IV was greeted by a horde of monsters rallied from the woods. Jawg stayed inside the workshop while we slaughtered the many beasts that threatened our town.

Construction of Kjøttby continued as more trees were cut down and the wall was expanded. Sven Svenson IV built a grand home to live in, much larger than any other structure built thus far. Meanwhile, I came up with the innovation of heated flooring when I put a campfire under my house.
Primitive Technology: Heated Flooring
Innovations were also made in tools and weaponry. The old fashioned wooden clubs were abandoned in favour of spears and bows. Hunting deer became much easier with the new ability to shoot them from a distance. The town wall was then completed, and the Svenson Manor was built under a heavy rainstorm. Construction of a bridge began, but building bridges is quite difficult in this game due to the way building works.
